With the green movement going from political to moral, Sound Cedar is aware of the responsibility to validate that our environmentally friendly actions.
Some practical steps we have taken in regards to that are:
- Use diesel trucks for better fuel mileage
- Use electric forklifts rather than LP or gasoline powered models
- Installed sodium vapor outside lights
- Installed more efficient showroom lighting
- Minimal use of paper and other office supplies
- Send email whenever possible instead of direct mail
- Coordinate truck routes for maximum efficiency
- Reuse and recycle pallets and all shipping materials
- Recycle paper, cardboard, shrink wrap and steel
- Use low toxicity paints and solvents
- Use biodegradable cleaning agents
- Using higher quality parts and supplies to increase product life
As we seek out products and processes that are not harmful to the environment nor wasteful of resources, this impacts minimal disposal on the environment as well.
